August is traditionally the month where inboxes get quieter, out-of-offices multiply and everyone collectively agrees to pick things up in September.
The solar eclipse may have been a slight disappointment if you forgot the glasses, but things at b4b certainly weren’t.
Momentum picked up considerably this month, with seven new websites going live, new clients coming on board and plenty happening across marketing, software, media and promotions. Apparently, nobody told August it was supposed to be quiet.
Add in a new case study, a trip to the New Forest Show and a volunteering day out in the community, and August ended up being anything but slow.
Here’s what we launched, learned and celebrated in the August 2026 Roundup.👇

Website Launches
Urban Reef
Right on Boscombe seafront, Urban Reef has been serving up sea views for over a decade, and its new website finally matches the setting. Designed and built by Lauren, the site brings all-day dining, cocktails and events together in one place, with a menu that changes with the seasons and a booking flow built for a beach bar that rarely slows down. Clean, bright and full of seafront energy, it's a site as easy going as a sundowner on the terrace.
Whitemead Caravan Park
Tucked into five acres of Dorset countryside near Wareham, Whitemead Caravan Park needed a website that did justice to its pitches, its games room and its loyal camping crowd. Also built by Lauren, the new site makes it simple for visitors to check facilities, browse pitch types and get in touch before they've even packed the awning. Practical, welcoming and ready for another busy season under canvas.
Saxton Scaffolding
Scaffolding doesn't sound glamorous, but Saxton Scaffolding's new website proves it can still look sharp. Built by Joey, the site showcases the team's residential and commercial work across Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex, backed by the trust signals that matter most in this trade: CITB registration, full insurance and a client list that includes the NHS. Straightforward, safety-led, and built for a team that would rather be up a scaffold than behind a screen.

Media
Pennyfarthing at the New Forest Show
The New Forest Show is always a good excuse to get the cameras out, and this year our media team spent the day capturing Pennyfarthing Homes' sponsored event on site. Between mascot appearances and an award presentation for the horse agility, there was no shortage of moments worth keeping. A brilliant day out, and proof that a countryside show and a film crew make surprisingly good company.

Fresh Content
What are the Best Promotional Products for UK Businesses?
Most branded merchandise ends up in a drawer or a bin, and it's rarely down to bad luck. This month's blog digs into why drinkware, apparel and tech accessories consistently outperform pens and stress balls, and why event giveaways and client gifts deserve two very different briefs. If your merchandise budget could be working harder, it's worth a read.
Choosing a Digital Marketing Agency: 3-Step Guide
Choosing who handles your marketing is a big decision, and it's easy to get overwhelmed by the options out there. This guide breaks it down into three practical steps: shared values, comprehensive service, and aligned goals, exactly what we'd want a business to look for before committing to any agency, including us. Read the guide here.
Plenty more happening away from the headlines, too. Pop over to our news page to see what else the team's been working on.

Workiversaries
Abbie Markham
Four years in for Abbie, our software account manager, who somehow keeps every client update, every release and every client's expectations running in step with each other. Between managing timelines, translating developer speak into plain English, and keeping everyone calm when deadlines creep, she's become the steady hand clients rely on. Happy Workiversary, Abbie!
Curious who else makes up the b4b crew? Our team page has all the faces and roles in one place.

Promotions
Autumn Workwear Bundle
Autumns around the corner, which means it’s probably time to admit the polo shirt alone isn’t going to cut it. Our Autumn Workwear Bundle gives your team a practical branded kit for the changing weather, with your logo printed on every item.
For £89 + VAT, the bundle includes 2 polo shirts, 3 classic T-shirts, a hooded sweatshirt, lightweight jacket and body warmer, with a choice of colours across the range. A straightforward way to get the team looking smart, consistent and ready for whatever the British weather decides to do next.

Seasonal Events
Out of the Office. Into the Community
Everyone at b4b gets a volunteering day and Jasmine made good use of hers this month. Her day started at the New Forest for Ukraine Hub, sorting donations ready to go out to those who need them, before finishing at the Lymington Warm Hub, helping prepare and serve a hot meal for the local community.
There was cake, a fair few characters, and an unannounced Environmental Health inspection that ended in a full five out of five food hygiene rating. A brilliant reminder of what one day out of the office can do.
Poole Speedway
Squeezing in just after last month's roundup went out, b4b spent an evening trackside sponsoring Poole Speedway, soaking up the noise and the floodlights. The Poole Pirates saw off the Berwick Bandits with a convincing 60 to 30 win, in an evening packed with speed and more than a few close calls at the first bend. Glad we caught this one before it slipped through the cracks.
August also marked the halfway point of British summer time optimism, that brief window where everyone insists they'll get outside more before autumn creeps back in. We managed a bit of that ourselves, between site launches and site visits. Fancy joining us outdoors (or just want a chat about your next project)? We're always up for either.
If we've been part of your story this year, we'd love to hear about it:
Thinking about a new project? Perhaps a shiny new app, a revamp of your marketing, or maybe you’re looking to delve into the world of AI. Whatever it might be, we're happy to talk it through. Give us a call on 01202 684400 or send us a message through our contact page to get started.
See all of you in September!
