Web Design and Development for Salix Estates

Based in Lytchett Minster, Dorse, Salix Estates is a property development firm dedicated to building beautiful, sustainable homes that harmonise with nature.

In 2024, Salix Estates came to b4b with a problem: their website was dated and didn't capture the sleek, sophisticated feel of their brand. They wanted a new website that was visually stunning, user-friendly, and flexible enough to be easily edited.

After several consultations with their team, we created a website that perfectly captures their brand's essence and makes it easy for visitors to explore their services. Read on to find out what we did!

We built the new website on WordPress to give Salix Estates a flexible, easy-to-manage content management system to work with. We built each element with responsiveness and functionality in mind, making sure they were fully compatible with different browsers and devices for maximum usability. We also made sure it would be easy for the owners to update the site with new property listings, case studies, gallery images, and more.

The simple, streamlined design benefited both users and owners, offering a hassle-free search experience and reducing administrative overhead.

On top of developing the site, we also designed its aesthetics and layout. Our work included: 

• Creating an elegant visual design featuring a dark blue and gold colour scheme, complemented by white space and a traditional-style serif font with a modern twist. These worked in tandem to reflect the brand's sophisticated identity. 

• Designing an intuitive and user-friendly interface (UI) with clear navigation and prominent call-to-action buttons, guiding visitors effectively through the site. 

• Incorporating professional design elements, such as smooth-scrolling carousels showcasing previous developments and subtle animations, to encourage visitors to spend more time on the site. 

The result was a stylish yet functional design that provided an enjoyable user experience while capturing the essence of Salix Estate’s brand identity.
