web UX

Having a website that is well made and user-friendly can set you ahead of the competition. We don’t just create websites that look great – they work great too

delivering an unrivalled user experience

User Experience (UX) is the process our web and software teams use to create websites and apps that provide relevant and intuitive experiences to users.

This involves consideration to the entire customer acquisition and buying process and involves our brand & strategy department as well as other areas of expertise within b4b including digital marketing and content.

The design of the customer journey experience includes aspects of branding, graphic design, usability and function. We advise our clients that the goal of good UX is to help users do what they want to do quickly and efficiently when interacting with their business.

understanding the customer journey

At b4b we believe that the key to good UX is a deep understanding of our clients’ customers, as well as their needs and wants at each stage of the customer journey. We engage the expertise of our software department to scope and robustly analyse customer touchpoints throughout the customer journey using our business process modelling methodology.

There are many elements that make up the UX design process, including (but not limited to):

  • Competitor benchmarking. This involves looking at competitors' websites to assess what they're doing well... and what they're not!
  • Online surveys to get feedback on the client's current website
  • Discussions with the client to ascertain what they believe the problems with their current website or app are
  • User testing and interviews to see what people think of the experience when using the client's website/app
  • Affinity diagrams and customer journey map. This uses the data gathered from user tests to form observations and understand pain points and positive interactions throughout the user journey
  • Empathy mapping

Studies confirm that poorly functioning websites negatively impact levels of engagement, demonstrating higher bounce rates and lower conversions. Find out more about why UX is an essential part of your web design on the b4b blog.
