SEO, PPC, social media, and e-shots for Collins Nets
Collins Nets have been manufacturing high-quality equipment for fisheries, game rearing, poultry keeping, and sports clubs for over 35 years. Their wide range of products includes everything from seine nets and game rearing pen nets to feeders, sports netting, and shooting accessories.
In July 2024, Collins Nets teamed up with b4b looking to boost their online presence and reach more customers. We did this by developing and launching a well-rounded marketing strategy that covered SEO, PPC, social media, and email campaigns.

After reviewing their website to identify areas for improvement in search engine optimisation (SEO), we made several updates to boost their rankings. On the technical side, we focused on optimising key elements like meta titles and load speeds. For content, we researched relevant keywords, developed a strategic content plan, and wrote engaging blogs to attract the right audience and help the site rank higher for high search volume keywords.
Our hard work paid off, with rankings for several key search terms improving. For example, Collins Nets now rank on page one for terms like 'fish nets' (6.6k search volume), 'football netting' (5.4k search volume), and 'pheasant netting' (500 search volume), leading to more organic traffic and sales.
We took charge of their PPC advertising on Google, managing everything from regular search ads and shopping ads to Performance Max campaigns, as well as retargeting ads to keep their brand top of mind.
We started by auditing their existing campaigns to find areas for improvement, then implemented a fresh strategy to attract the right audience. This included:
- Targeting the most effective keywords
- Adjusting bids based on performance and competition
- Fine-tuning headlines and ad text to capture attention
- Refining audience targeting
Thanks to these efforts, we were able to significantly boost the ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) on their Google ads.
We also managed their paid advertising on Meta. By researching the ideal audience for Collins Nets' products - using data on interests, demographics, and behaviours - we built a highly targeted campaign featuring eye-catching visuals and copy that resonated with their audience. We also ran retargeting campaigns to keep Collins Nets front and centre.
Just like with Google, this new approach was a success, leading to an impressive boost in ROAS on Meta.
Finally, we handled Collins Nets' email marketing (or e-shots). We began by redesigning their existing template to make the emails more visually appealing and easier to read. We then created and executed a detailed email campaign strategy, tailored to seasonal trends (which was key given Collins Nets' focus on outdoor equipment) and product promotions. By using segmented email lists, we made sure the right people received the most relevant content.
These efforts paid off with a strong ROI, along with improved engagement and conversions from our email campaigns.
In just three months of working with Collins Nets, we've helped them achieve double-digit sales growth - and we're just getting started!
