Our software developers built a custom mobile app for worldwide eSports company, PGS. We also created a new, attractive website, and assisted them with a range of other promotional and marketing materials. 

PGS were using a WordPress site to manage their leagues, with all stats and game scored submitted via a Facebook Group. This was a very manual, admin-heavy process, and it was hard for them to stay on top of the several leagues they were running.

They wanted us to provide them with a scalable platform that would allow them to easily expand, as well as a mobile app so that their users could submit their stats quickly and easily (while feeling like part of a community). Everything needed to look fantastic and be slick in terms of functionality and user experience.

The PGS eSports league management app is a platform for FIFA gamers that already has users all over the world.

Our software developers built a custom content management system (CMS) and hybrid mobile app, to provide PGS with the flexibility and capacity to grow as their audience and offering did. 

Not only that, but they wanted to deliver a platform that would allow them to really build a community. The aim was to increase engagement and also, to be able to monetise the platform. 

• Regional and League admins can create leagues and tournaments
• Managers can create teams, submit line-ups and offer contracts to players 
• Players can accept contracts, submit stats, and livestream games
• Results and fixtures are displayed per league
• League tables are auto generated
• Stats leader boards are generated
• Players and Managers can win trophies

The client requested a quick turnaround, so we focused on delivering an MVP (minimum viable product) within just five months. There were challenges along the way, such as certain rules being complex to implement or changing during the build, and new versions of FIFA meaning stats changed.   

We utilised Google and Apple in-app events and purchasing, to allow PGS to offer weekly and monthly subscriptions which give users access to extra features.

Our team also designed and built a slick new website to replace their old, dated one. It features smooth animation and some really engaging dynamic elements, while perfectly drawing together all the elements of their branding. 

The project didn’t just involve our web developers, it also harnessed the expertise of our graphic designer, copywriters, and user experience specialists.
