Nurturing By Nature initially approached us to develop a new online business system that would help them monitor their products and stock. Following an initial consultation with our team, this project developed into much more - a new custom e-commerce website with advanced functionality to improve processes; a brand strategy to take them to market and a marketing campaign to increase awareness and sales.
Over half of revenue from the Nurturing By Nature website can be linked back to the keyword strategy we that implemented with the NBN team.
The business system we designed operates in conjunction with their website's content management system (CMS). This back-end system allows them to oversee their e-commerce sales by managing orders, stock levels, customers, products and categories. The built-in reporting dashboard gives them access to important statistics such as the number of orders, products sold, busiest times of days, newsletter sign-ups and much more. Xero integration also means that everyday sales data is passed directly to accounting software with correct tax calculations and custom tagging.
Keen to improve the efficiency of their operations, a custom interface was built to include an electronic clock-in / out device to help with workforce management. This also records staff absences, holiday, sickness, breaks and lunch. Timesheets and pay for selected periods are then automatically calculated and easily exported for their accounts team to pay wages.
Another important feature of the system for the NBN management team was the ability to manage deliveries cost-effectively. Clever integration with courier company DPD allows labels to be automatically generated and collections booked. The system also picks out certain postcodes where NBN make free deliveries on certain days of the month. These delivery journeys are then optimised using a route planner which allows them to find the best route.
As the system integrates seamlessly with the NBN website, product ordering is fast and hassle-free including a re-order function, which allows customers to purchase the same order again quickly; Stripe and PayPal integration; and product ordering available directly from category rather than product page for a faster process.
The Nurturing By Nature marketing approach is delivering returns for the client as a result of careful consideration of the user journey through the website. The site provides educational resources for new raw food diet customers and for returning visitors, the opportunity to profile their pets and provide optimum nutrition for them. A multi-channel marketing campaign delivers revenue from search, email and paid advertising.
