Dorset businesses are networking in a different way thanks to the new Dorset KartNet League – a monthly go karting and networking event set up and hosted by two local companies.
Digital marketing agency Bespoke 4 Business and telecommunications specialists Town & Country have jointly organised the monthly league in association with South Coast Karting based at Chapel Gate near Bournemouth Airport.
The inaugural meeting took place this month with subsequent clashes diarised for the second Tuesday of each month. And what a first meeting it was!
The two host companies were joined by teams from Broadview Shading Solutions, MPloy Staffing Solutions, The Gutter & Cladding Company and Hill Osborne with Town & Country taking the spoils with a thrilling race over 175 laps of the 500m purpose built outside track.
“We’ve set up the league to give local companies the opportunity to network in an environment where the emphasis is very much on fun and having a good time but one that also offers the chance for businesses to get to know each other and potentially work together going forward” said Lee Butler.
“Teams are encouraged to use the event to bring along two staff members – great for teambuilding and rewarding staff – and two clients, suppliers or contacts as their guests. This means that the people attending each month are always different so more networking opportunities.”
Other Dorset-based businesses who would like to join the league are encouraged to contact Hayley Baverstock at Bespoke 4 Business on 01202 684400.
