The inaugural Hampshire Curry Club got underway last week and what a great success it was.
Twenty-six business professionals from Hampshire and Dorset based companies converged on Kohinoor Of Kerala in Portswood Road, Southampton for the promise of great curry, great company and the potential for great business relationships.
Spearheaded by DPD Local franchisor Simon Hawtrey-Coombes, the Hampshire Curry Club was launched to enable owners and directors from companies around the South eager to do business in Hampshire to meet in a relaxed and informal setting.
“We’re very much of the opinion that the Hampshire Curry Club is a ‘no sales pitches, no banners, no advertising’ type of get-together. I see it as a group of business people breaking bread and building relationships.” said Simon.
A series of events has been planned for the rest of the year at various Indian restaurants around Southampton and the surrounding areas including Winchester and Lymington. Each gathering costs just £25 per person, which includes a first drink, poppadums, starter and main dish of choice along with rice and naan bread.
Business professionals interested in attending the next event at Gurkha’s Inn, Winchester on Thursday 22nd March are encouraged to contact Simon via the newly launched website: www.hampshirecurryclub.co.uk designed by club sponsor Bespoke 4 Business.
Many of the founding sponsors of the Hampshire group, which include DPD Local and Bespoke 4 Business, as well as Inspire, PSP, Enhanced, Sandler Training, BCR and Rubicon, are also regular attendees of the successful Dorset Curry Club, which was founded in 2012 and regularly attracts fifty plus attendees to their monthly get-togethers.
The prospects for the Hampshire Curry Club are certainly looking hot and the sponsors are excited to meet more Hampshire-based businesses. For more information, please visit: www.hampshirecurryclub.co.uk.
