Nothing brings people together quite like football, and with the World Cup well underway, we at b4b decided that there was no better time to join up with our clients for an evening to remember.
When England played Wales last month, we pulled out all the stops in arranging for a first-class viewing party at AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium. We jointly organised the event with Enhanced, an IT support company based locally to us in Poole.
We invited both our current clients and contacts to come and enjoy the match - in the end, we had nearly 100 guests from local businesses cheering on England alongside us.
Upon arrival, guests enjoyed pre-match drinks followed by a delicious curry. Then it was time for kick-off!
The match got off to a quiet start, with no goals scored in the first half. Just as hope started to fade, the whistle for the second half blew and the excitement really ratcheted up!
Marcus Rashford scored the first goal with an incredible free-kick, quickly followed by another goal from Phil Foden. A third goal from Rashford sent England sailing through to the knockout stages.
The match ended with England beating Wales 3-0, with England reaching the top spot in Group B of the World Cup.
The atmosphere in the event was electric, with everyone up on their feet, drinking, laughing, and having a blast. The cheers were unbelievable - our ears are still ringing!
