An indoor bowls club in Poole, Dorset has been the first UK club to take advantage of a new bespoke management system built by Dorset digital marketing specialists b4b.

Having been selected by the Dolphin Indoor Bowls Club to build a new website for the club, Bespoke 4 Business soon realised that existing management software for bowls clubs was fairly limited and basic in its application, which led to their team of software specialists building a bespoke cloud-based platform to offer to clubs across the UK.

“Our bespoke platform, which we’ve named Bowlr, is tailored specifically for bowls clubs and enables users to log into the system from their desktop PC or laptop anywhere, to carry out a wide variety of functions including membership management and league generation.  Club administration is dramatically reduced as members can access the system to update personal information, arrange fixtures, book rinks via an online diary and enter scores from competitions and tournaments.  We believe the Bowlr system to be a must-have for progressive bowls clubs across the country. It’s a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use system that is already saving the Dolphin Club valuable time and resource” commented Bespoke 4 Business Director Anthony Tilley, pictured above right.

As one of the largest bowling facilities in the UK, the eleven rink Dolphin Club in Poole is already embracing their new technology: “One of the greatest advantages for us of having this new system is that we’ve massively reduced administrative procedures for all club staff and the management of the leagues now couldn’t be easier.  Our membership base is constantly growing so it will help alleviate the significant increase in associated administration plus we were keen to introduce a modern and progressive culture to the club” remarked David Porter, Manager at the Dolphin Club, above left.

The new software platform, which is powered by a cloud-based solution, offers far greater flexibility for both club management and members than any other system on the market.  Available in different modules, the platform can be tailored to the individual requirements of each club.

“We’ve built the system as different modules, which can either be all be linked together to create a fully integrated system or can be individually selected depending on the needs and budget of each club.  We can even link the system to TV screens in reception or lounge areas so that members can view the very latest scores and information.  Dolphin are even using rink-side iPads so their members can update scores in real time” said Anthony.

The Bowlr system can be integrated with a club’s existing website and comes with full support and training by Bespoke’s team of software experts.

“I would, without doubt, recommend the system to any bowls club in the country. It really has transformed the way we run our club and our members couldn’t be happier that we’ve streamlined our processes making it far easier for them to make rink bookings and access up-to-date information” concluded David.
