We have this month donated £500 to Poole Hospital Charity from the sale of branded reusable face masks to clients and local businesses. This follows our donation of face coverings to three local charities, including Poole Hospital Charity, back in May 2020.
Government guidelines are that people should wear face coverings on public transport, in shops and in places where social distancing is not possible. B4b’s reusable face coverings have been helping gyms, car dealerships, contractors, education establishments and many other businesses return safely to work.
“Our clients have been keen to get their teams back to work with the right safety measures in place. The plain or branded face masks we’re shipping out to clients and businesses across the UK daily, have meant that we can make a considerable donation to the Charity,” says Anthony Tilley, Managing Director of b4b based on the Albany Business Park in Poole.
“As a Poole based business, to be able to support the children’s ward of our local hospital is particularly important to us.”
Poole Hospital Charity supports the hospital to ensure patients get treated more quickly and comfortably. Donations are used to purchase equipment, improve facilities and provide finishing touches which complement the existing high-quality care, yet are above what the NHS provides.
Janine Golding, community fundraiser for the charity commented, “As people feel the impact of the pandemic we’ve seen a drop in donations from the local community, so we are particularly grateful for any donations at this time. To be able to give this money to the children's ward means we can continue to support our charitable work in enhancing patient care.”
The charity is proud to make a difference in the experience of thousands of patients. From funding tiny cots to major refurbishments, all made possible thanks to the generosity and support of the local community.
