Poole-based digital marketing agency Bespoke 4 Business has announced they have adopted Julia’s House as their official charity of the year for 2016.
Having decided to make a commitment to fundraising for charity this year, the 25-strong workforce at Bespoke 4 Business were asked for local charity nominations and then voted from a shortlist of three with the Dorset and Wiltshire Children’s Hospices charity being declared the worthy winner.
“Our team are a charitable bunch so we decided to put that enthusiasm to good use this year by selecting an official charity which we could raise funds for and have a bit fun at the same time. We are looking forward to supporting Julia’s House not only with the various events that they host but we’ll also be organising some challenges of our own” remarked Anthony Tilley, Director of Bespoke 4 Business.
Sue Miles, Business Fundraiser at Julia’s House, is delighted to have Bespoke 4 Business on board for the year, “Julia’s House is almost entirely funded by donation and it’s incredible to think that without the generosity of the local community and companies like Bespoke 4 Business, we would not exist and families struggling to cope with a very sick child would have nowhere to turn. Having the support of local businesses is so important to us. We’re extremely grateful to Anthony and the team for choosing us and we’re looking forward to working with them over the coming year.”
Julia’s House receives just five percent of the income they need from the government to run their vital free service and are one of the worst funded hospices in the whole country. They provide regular respite care for families with life limited children all over Dorset and in South Wiltshire, both in their hospice and in their own homes.
In order to really pull out all the stops and raise as much money as they can for Julia’s House, Bespoke 4 Business will be forming an internal charity committee to organise their fundraising efforts and activities throughout the year, which staff and clients of the agency will be invited to take part in.
