What is Virtual Working?
The speed of global communications challenges everyone to keep abreast
with new ideas and changes in markets.
Successful organisations are those which react to fast competition,
changing technology, environmental issues and legislation. To do this,
organisations need to adopt flexible working patterns and structures
which allow individuals to work in cross-boundary teams sharing expertise,
knowledge and skills. Rigid adherence to traditional working methods,
based on formal company structures, hierarchies and positions cannot
allow for a competitive and successful future.
A new way of working with new behaviours is needed, underpinned by
rules which facilitate working rather than compromise. Virtual Working
can move people from working in the 'Old World' to working with 'New
World' behaviours. |
